Jalapeno Teriyaki Poppers

Stir Fried Bacon Jalapeno Poppers

  • 4 Oz Cream Cheese
  • 4 Jalapenos, cut into thirds
  • 8 Slices Bacon
  • 2 T Mirin
  • 2 T Sake
  • 2 T Soy Sauce
  • 5 Mushrooms Sliced
  • 1 Green Onion Chopped

Serving size: 2

Slice Jalapeno across short-wise into three pieces, slicing the ends off. Clean out the insides.

Stuff each jalapeno with cream cheese

Cut bacon into 1/2 pieces and wrap each piece around jalapenos, making a seam that will be used to place down into the pan

Fried Jalapeno Poppers

Heat skillet to medium-high heat and add jalapenos seam-side down

Sear seam so it sticks (this can be tough! If it falls apart don’t worry, we will just fry it up as is!)

Add the mirin, sake and cook down for about 1 minute then add the soy sauce

Add mushrooms and light green parts of onion

Heat through and serve!

Top with light green onions and shichimi if you have it.
