Crab Wontons


20 Store Bought Wonton Wrappers

1 Green onion, finely chopped

5 Crab leg meat or imitation crab

⅔ Package Cream Cheese, softened

1 Tsp Soy Sauce

1 Tsp Sake

1 Tsp Mirin

1/2 Tsp Sugar

1 Whisked Egg White

1 Egg Yolk + 2 T Water

Mix all ingredients except egg white

Once mixed, fold in egg white gently

Lay out wonton wrappers on a flat surface with wax or parchment paper (I usually do ~10 at a time)

Fill Max 1T of mixture on each wrapper

Wet fingers with yolk/water mix on edges of wrapper

Bring together opposite ends and pinch. 

Lay finished wontons on a flat surface and put into freezer – do not let them touch!

Leave in freezer ~20 minutes and immediately fry or bake for ~2 minutes

Put leftovers in freezer-safe container in freezer for up to 3 months!
